Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.
Mark 6:56
Jesus was healing whoever touched Him. Mark is telling us that some of those who were sick didn’t touch Jesus. I find it hard to believe that Jesus didn’t want to heal them. Instead, it would appear that they didn’t have the faith to be healed…even though many others were healed in the same place.
I think we are seeing the same thing in our world today. There are many who believe Jesus can save, but they have conditions on how they want to be saved. Many want to continue living their lives in opposition to the Bible, but they want the blessing of God, and to live any lifestyle they choose.
We can see that the world is running out of time. Some people believe climate change, pandemics or global war will end the world as we know it. But the Bible tells us it is none of those things. It is the intervention of God that will bring about the final days on earth.
We are seeing the signs around us, but many choose to live their lives by their own convictions, instead of listening to the One who put the whole plan in motion. Every has the choice to be healed (saved), or they can choose to make their own way, even if that way leads to eternal separation from God. Choose wisely!
